A Utes fan in the making.

Tate and Jordan have been doing a lot of fun things together these days, and one of them is going up to the "U" and watching the football players play. This past weekend was the spring Red and White game and Tate loved it! After the game they got to go down on the field and meet some players and also meet Swoop the mascot, he thought that was really cool. Jord had to even carry him out because he didn't want to leave the field, he was having so much fun. He's definitely going to be a big Utes fan like his dad!

Marley's blessing

We blessed Marley this past Sunday and I'm so glad it's over! It went perfect and Jordan did an amazing job, but I was just so stressed. I worried about getting my house all clean, having enough food for everyone (whoever came up with the idea of bringing everybody home and feeding them after is just plain ridiculous) , and of course the pressure of bearing your testimony--you know everyone expects you to get up. But after all was said and done, it went well, and it was a great day! This was the best family picture we could get....oh well
"huh?"
4 generations...and it was neat because she wore the blessing dress that I wore on my blessing day.

What the Easter Bunny brought us...

a new bike and helmet!! I think Tate liked the helmet even more than the bike...

I don't have any title for this post.

Things are starting to calm down a bit around here, we are getting into a groove and I don't feel as overwhelmed as I did. It's still hard sometimes, but if there's only one disaster a day, I consider that a good day! Some "fun" things we've (translation: Tate's) done lately are dumping out a whole box of baking soda, breaking raw eggs on the kitchen floor, pop all over my carpet, and diaper rash cream all over himself and Marley's room....just to name a few. Life of an almost 3 year old I suppose:)
Marley has still been a great baby, she is so sweet and calm and I could just squeeze and kiss her face all day long. I'm not a fan of the newborn stage, but I can honestly say that I really enjoy her.Marley's first Easter dress, I had her wear it last Sunday since there's no church this week
Macy and Marley in their first of many matching outfits. I love it! The fun of having cousins only 6 months apart..
Tate can't get enough of his scooter, he flies on that thing, it's really cute.
The annual coloring of Easter eggs with grandma Kathy--the boys love it!
Kaige, Max, Banks and Tater with their 5 dozen eggs-no really, they boiled 5 dozen eggs!
And of course, the colored hands. You would think they'd find a better way to to make egg dye without having the color stay on your hands for a week after. Oh well, he loved it.

Two kids. I need to vent.

I'm not gonna lie, having two kids has been really hard. I feel like all we do every day is just survive. When it was just Tate I could play with him a lot , go places, and actually get things done around the house. Now I feel neglectful to the poor kid, I don't know how to tote both kids out places, and my house is a disaster. All I do is feed, burp, change bums, and ward off tantrums 24 hours a day. It's been quite an adjustment that I haven't figured out yet. And Tate definitely is having a hard time adjusting too. We'll just say he's been EXTRA naughty lately and I'm way too exhausted to deal with it. I am tired.

Sleepy Head

These are the only shots I can get of Marley because this is what she's doing most of the day. Tate never slept from day one, so a sleepy newborn is foreign to me. I just hope she doesn't turn on me soon and start being colicky all the time, so for now I'm enjoying the sleepiness...

Story time...

Marley is now over a week old already! I figured I would hurry and do a quick recap of the birth so I don't forget! We had to check in on Tuesday at 5:00 am, so it was a very early day. But it was so nice because everything went so much smoother and faster this time around; totally different from when I had Tate. The doctor broke my water around 9:00, got the epidural, (like I would do it natural) and went from a 4 to a 10 in under 10 minutes! She came so fast that we didn't even have time to call our parents, so they came after she was already born at 11:30 am.
So far she has been a great baby, I've barely ever heard her cry and she's pretty mellow. I really hope that is a good sign for things to come...My final pregnancy shot...I was so ready to be done!
right after having her...
proud papa!
at the hospital ready to bring her home; they look so tiny in those big carseats!
Tate seeing Marley for the first time, he kept petting her head and pinching her feet
Tate was so excited to hold her for the first time, that's all he kept asking for the whole drive home. He calls her baby Yarley; he can say his "m's" just fine normally, but for some reason he can't say Marley, it's kinda funny.
