Random...

Tate had his 9 month check up on Tuesday and he weighed 18.5 lbs (15%) and was 28 in (50%)....which makes me super excited because as you know, all the Love's are short people. He's steadily getting taller and taller....hopefully he'll pass up Jord and I (not that it's hard to do). And the doctor doesn't think he'll be a shorty! Yea!Now if you notice, Jord is looking extra scruffy these days.....him and some of his friends are now doing the yearly tradition of "Cinco de Mustache." What is that, you ask? Well, they grow out their beards for the month of April and on May 5th they shave it into a nasty mustache of choice. Thanks alot Steve, now I have to wake up to this every morning until that blessed day it gets shaved off. (at least he still looks good)

9 months in.....9 months out

Tate is 9 months old today.....he's now been out just as long as he was in! And this has gone by alot faster than the pregnancy did. I was not a happy pregnant woman. (puking for 9 straight months couldn't have had anything to do with it?)
Let's take a walk through the past 18 months.....
This is Tate now. Some of the things he does are: roll and scoot to toys that he wants-he almost crawls, he says "ba ba" for his bottle, loves to pick up and eat on his own his puff treats, likes to wrestle his dad, play with his cousins, loves dogs-he'll sit and let Ellie lick him all day long, loves to read flap books.....to name a few.

This was 9 months ago the morning I got induced, and that evening after he was born. That was a super long day, and I hurt.
And this was 9 months before that! I didn't know yet that I was pregnant....so we were relaxing and enjoying Puerto Vallarta with Jord's family! Those were the carefree days of having money and sleeping in....

But I wouldn't change anything at all, I love my little Taters and am grateful he's mine!

We have success!

I have been trying now for over a month to get Tate to eat things other than formula and baby food, to no avail. But the other night I made spaghetti and he actually LIKED IT. I was so happy I had to take pictures so I could document him eating something other than bananas and sweet potatoes. I think he played in it more than really eating it, but hey, whatever works. Did anyone else have problems with their kids not wanting to eat adult food? I thought it would be easy, but it's proved to be more difficult than I thought.

Happy Birthday Papa!

My dad turned.....30....on Saturday and I just want to tell him how much I love and appreciate him! Living in a house with 5 women was not easy, but he always took it in stride and had such patience with us (even when we were being bratty teenagers). Whenever anything is wrong I know I can go to him-- whether it's a yard question, car question, house problems, or I just need to talk, he is always there to listen and help. He is an amazing father, grandpa, and friend. I love you Dad! Here's a few pictures of my dad through the years....isn't he cute?

Funny Story

So yesterday my 2 nephews Preston (10) and Jake (8) were fighting, so my sister Brooke went down to see what was going on. This was the conversation:
JAKE: Preston, your such a douche bag!
PRESTON: Jake!!
BROOKE: What??! What did you say?! You did not just say that, where, WHERE did you learn that?!!
JAKE/PRESTON: Uhhh........school......
BROOKE: Do either of you even know what that means!? I bet you don't even know what your saying??!!
PRESTON: uhh....I know what it means....
BROOKE: Oh really, what does it mean then??!!
PRESTON: It's where women store their eggs...

HA! I laughed so hard, I thought it was so hillarious! Two things I learned from this: yes, your local 8 year olds are saying the word "douche bag"; and second, they are a bit misinformed on what that even means!...
