Baby's Room
I just wanted to post some before and after pictures of the baby's room before I forget to...
Before: Jord scraping off the border...what was with these people before us and borders?
And after! The only thing left is I'm waiting for my window valance to be shipped to us.
We are into stripes if you can't tell; I loved them so much in the family room that I wanted them in her room too. And yes, by the way, her name is going to be Marley. We finally decided about 3 weeks ago.

Hodgepodge.
Just some random things going on with us right now...Tate was NOT having any of pre-school. We tried taking him for a few times and he just cried and cried (and tried to escape) so we pulled him out. I was really bummed because I've been looking forward to those few hours a week by myself! But I guess he's just not quite ready, so instead we put him in a parent-tot class at the same place. He's liking that a lot because I stay with him the whole time. So hopefully we can work him up to the other class again in the fall.
I've got my induction scheduled for February 23rd! There's actually an end in sight, praise the lord! I know there's people (and I think you're crazy) who love being pregnant but I am not one of them. I think it's miserable and painful and I can't wait until my back doesn't ache all the time and I can once again sleep on my stomach....to name a few. So I'm now down to about 2 1/2 weeks...
Lastly, we took Tate bowling last week for the first time and he loved it! When we first got there he was so excited that he just took off running clear down the lane and was only about a foot from the actual pins when he slipped and fell (too bad I didn't get a picture of that). If he hadn't fallen I think he would have dove into the pins head first. He tried running down a few more times, but eventually got that you throw the ball, not yourself...

Pre-school!!
But the teacher was really good at distracting him and explained to me that alot of kids do that their first couple of times (the crying, not the climbing out of the window:) we just need to keep going and give it time. I think he really will love it eventually; here's to hoping it gets better...

Christmas '09
I need to start posting about Christmas and such before I get too far behind. This year we spent Christmas Eve with the Wakefield's where we had great dinner, great company, and the traditional Nativity re-enactment by all the kids. My grandpa and grandma Snow also spent the night there, which was really fun to have them around.
My little shepherd with his sheep
Addie was more like a dog than a donkey, Tate wanted to be the shepherd and the star so he held the flashlight and basically rolled around on the ground, and Jesus was a girl this year. Just keeping the Nativity lively at our place:)
Then this year for Christmas morning was the first time we stayed at our house, and it was so nice! We usually spend the night at our parents, but we want Tate to start having Santa come to our house and do our own little traditions. I loved it too, it was so low-key and calm and I don't think Tate got as overwhelmed as he does with all those other people around. Then after a few hours we went over to the Love's to open presents and talk to uncle Chace when he called...
Out of all the fun big things Santa brought Tate liked the little bouncy ball the best...I should have known
Opening presents and making a mess. Tate loved the actual unwrapping of things more than what was really inside that wrapping...
This picture is my favorite. Grandma Wakefield got him this vaccuum and he went all over their house with it, including making great grandpa and grandma Snow lift their legs while he got underneath....
After we spent the last few hours of the day at the Wakefield's we were totally exhausted. We went home and crashed, but it was a great Christmas like always!
