I need to start posting about Christmas and such before I get too far behind. This year we spent Christmas Eve with the Wakefield's where we had great dinner, great company, and the traditional Nativity re-enactment by all the kids. My grandpa and grandma Snow also spent the night there, which was really fun to have them around.

My little shepherd with his sheep

Addie was more like a dog than a donkey, Tate wanted to be the shepherd and the star so he held the flashlight and basically rolled around on the ground, and Jesus was a girl this year. Just keeping the Nativity lively at our place:)
Then this year for Christmas morning was the first time we stayed at our house, and it was so nice! We usually spend the night at our parents, but we want Tate to start having Santa come to our house and do our own little traditions. I loved it too, it was so low-key and calm and I don't think Tate got as overwhelmed as he does with all those other people around. Then after a few hours we went over to the Love's to open presents and talk to uncle Chace when he called...

Out of all the fun big things Santa brought Tate liked the little bouncy ball the best...I should have known

Opening presents and making a mess. Tate loved the actual unwrapping of things more than what was really inside that wrapping...

This picture is my favorite. Grandma Wakefield got him this vaccuum and he went all over their house with it, including making great grandpa and grandma Snow lift their legs while he got underneath....
After we spent the last few hours of the day at the Wakefield's we were totally exhausted. We went home and crashed, but it was a great Christmas like always!

what is your sweet father in law wearing. Is that a church vest over a utes t-shirt?
Love it! I love that he vacuumed under their legs, how cute. I have totally wanted to get one of those balls for Koen, I secretly would like bouncing around on it! lol And I am all about the low key Christmas morning, so nice.
I AM SO GLAD THAT YOU SURVIVED CHRISTMAS AND THAT TATE HAD A GOOD TIME. I AGREE WITH THEM GETTING OVERWHELMED, I WOULDN'T LET ME MOM BRING IN ANY OF THE PRESENTS SHE HAD UNTIL AFTER CANNON HAD SANTA...I WANTED HIM TO SEE THAT SANTA CAME AND GET EXCITED OVER THAT!
I am glad you had a great Christmas! We have gotten to the point with 3 kids that staying home is so much better than running around, but I did miss seeing the fam on Christmas!
Oh, I'm so jealous!! I am all for staying home on Christmas morning. I will never stay anywhere else again, this year was too stressful and so not fun! Spencer got tools too, and loves them, and he loves his little vacuum as well!! Hopefully they keep it up and make their wives very happy someday...
