Krystal's Wedding

(sorry about the blur, my fingers were numb so it was difficult)

On Saturday Krystal and Tyler finally got married! They have been dating as long as I've even known Jord....so it was about time! They married in the Salt Lake Temple and had the reception at the McCune Mansion-it was beautiful. Being JUNE and all, you would think the weather would be perfect. But it amazingly relapsed into MARCH and we all spent the day freezing our buns off! I thought I'd never thaw again.

Tate was an awful mess at the reception. He hadn't napped the entire day and hated being dressed up, so by the time pictures came he freaked out. He was THAT kid who refused to hold still and smile, arched his back, and cried the whole time. Krystal was so cute trying to get him to at least play with her dress so he'd hold still for 2 seconds.

This was what he wanted to do instead. So by the time my parents came and took him home with them he had broken my necklace, spilled punch all down his shirt, had frosting all over his tie, and made me consider getting my tubes tied.

It was such an amazing and fun day though, and I am so happy for Sis and Ty!

Little Hailey...

Hailey with her best friend Papa

So I hope Meg doesn't mind me posting about this, but too bad I did it anyway. My 2 year old niece Hailey has been up at Primary Children's Hospital for a week now and they still don't know what's wrong. She's always been a tiny thing (we're talking 17 pounds tiny-Tate weighs almost 20 lbs and he's not even 1 yet) and a picky eater, but the past months she's become super anemic and gotten to where she'll go days without eating ANYTHING--and when she does finally eat, she gets so sick and throws it all back up. She's on a feeding tube that she'll probably be on for a while until she can get better and eat on her own. We miss having our little "hay" around and are praying the doctors can figure this out so she can get better and come home!

How I love summer!

So we went and bought Tate one of those little plastic pools for the yard on Saturday and he loved it! He loves to take baths, but I thought maybe the freezing cold canal water we have (gotta love Riverton's secondary water system) would deter him...not so! ummm, I don't think he's supposed to drink that but whatever

cheese ball

Then later on Jordan and Chace finally put together my porch swing, hooray! Don't you love how our freakin neighbors can sit on their deck and stare right into our business? That's why we have planted those huge trees you can see behind Jord. Anyway, it was practically dark by the time they finished so I didn't get a picture of the finished beauty, but don't worry-I will be spending many a days on that while Tate roams free in the yard...

What we've been up to....

We have been busy re-doing our kitchen and front room. The fun and excitement wore off pretty fast once we realized what we'd really gotten ourselves into. We had to take off this hideous 1980's border, paint, get a new faucet, re-caulk, and paint, paint, paint.....

(I look super hot in my apron....I ruined an outfit painting the kitchen so you do what you gotta do)

I don't really have any before pictures, but here are a few of the finished products:
(You can't really see, but the kitchen is now yellow)

We've also been doing alot of this when the weather is actually nice....
I love love doing my pots

But most of all, we've been doing ALOT of this

because of this:

Cutting our top two teeth if you can see it. If this lasts much longer I might just run away.

A secret place in my heart....

New Kids on the Block are back, and I have to admit that I'm a little excited. They were my first big crush back in the day (well, it was between Jordan and Joey) and they have always held a soft spot in my heart. Welcome back.

On the move

So Tate has finally started crawling these past couple of weeks. It's taken him a while to decide that it's something worth doing, and now I can't stop him! I love that he finally is, he's alot more entertained, it's just so funny to me that he's drawn to the things he can't have. There's a thousand toys scattered around my house, but those are ignored while he hunts for the plugs, my plants, the toilets, stairs, etc..

Also, as many of you MIGHT have known, yesterday was Mother's Day. Last year I was pregnant, so it didn't really count yet, so this was my first official Mother's Day. I'm a big fan, it's like having 2 birthdays. Jord made me breakfast in bed and got me a porch swing, yea! But really, it was a great day, and I still consider it more of a holiday for my mom and mother-in-law than for myself. I'm not quite used to it yet for me.

Happy Cinco de....Mustache?

So last night was the first annual "Cinco de Mustache" party with our friends. After a month of growing out nasty beards, the guys finally shaved them into....even nastier mustaches. Meet the guys:

Jordan-the hell's angel

Jon-the porn star

Chad-the trucker

Steve-the molester

Beau and Ryan came too, but they didn't participate in the creepy stache contest. It really was so much fun; we ate, talked, played....and definitely laughed alot.
the creepers

Brighton, me, Lindsay, Sara, Ashley and Brynn

Lola, Blake, Connor, Londyn, Tate and Wyatt...they were so excited for this picture

GAY

So there's our shindig in a nutshell! I'm just happy it is over now so Jord can finally shave off that thing!
