Tate turned 3!!

Sunday was Taters birthday, so on Saturday we did a big swimming party at the Love's with both of our families. Having a summer birthday is great because you can just always plan on going to the pool--no big party to have to plan! He loved having all of his cousins there to swim with, and we all had so much fun.Miss Mar lounging in her tube, she loved sitting in the pool
Tate could go down the slide all day long if we let him
Opening presents from everyone! He is one spoiled kid, we didn't have him open the ones from us 'til Sunday because he got so many!
Blowing out his candles...all he wanted was a Yo Gabba Gabba cake and it took me forever to find one somewhere. I was not about to make one myself.
Sunday morning waiting to open presents from mom and dad
Dora play-doh!!
playing "guys" with dad in his new Batman house

Tate, even though you are naughty sometimes and drive me completely crazy, I don't know what I would do without you! You definitely make my life more interesting and I love you more than words!

Debbie Downer

You can just call me Debbie Downer this week (have you seen SNL?) Anyway, it's just been one of those crappy weeks and I am super ornery. Sometimes I really have a hard time being a stay-at-home mom. It's all I've ever wanted to do, and I wouldn't have it any other way, but that doesn't mean it's not hard. It feels like some days never end and that every day is the EXACT SAME DAY, I'm just wearing different clothes. Who am I kidding? I probably even wear the same clothes. It doesn't help that I want to sell a certain child on ksl because he drives me completely insane!! Oh, and some lame-o did this to our car:In lighter news, Marley had her first taste of squash today and loved it! She couldn't get enough of it, which is good because her Dr. told me the other day that we've got to get some meat on those scrawny bones! (well, he may have used a little different wording)
And I don't know where these children came from, because they are both in the 75% for height! They are both tall and skinny: Tate is 29.6 lbs (10%) and 37 1/2 inches, and Mar is 12.1 lbs (25%) and 24 3/4 inches.

Kallee's wedding!

Jord's sister Kallee got married on Thursday and it was a beautiful wedding! She looked amazing, the weather was great (a little windy though), and the reception was a lot of fun with delicious food! By the end of the night I thought my feet might fall off though, I am definitely not a stiletto girl. Here are some highlights:Sis, me, Kall and Jen at the temple....I'm only 5'2" but I felt like a giant next to those girls:)

the one picture that we got of just us two
at the reception with my two cute kids

Marley looked so cute in her little black dress but she hated it, it was too fluffy for her

this was by the end of the night; you can't see he's totally untucked, drink spilled down him, and cupcake all over himself.
poor Chace wasn't around to defend himself from these two pervs.

T-Ball

Tate started T-Ball this week and he loves it! It's hilarious to watch those tiny boys hit the ball and then have no idea what to do after that. They don't fully understand running the bases, so some kinda just run up the middle of the field, one little boy went and grabbed the ball he just hit and went and sat down. It's so funny! Their team name is the blue sharks (so original:)And we can't forget miss Marley, lounging in the shade. You better get used to going to sports stuff, this will be our lives for the next 15 years!

Should I put it in a vase?

When Tate's not busy driving me up a wall, he is making me laugh! I complain about how naughty he can be, but he is also hilarious and sweet when he wants to be. He was out mowing the lawn with Jordan last night and he came in so excited to hand me this:Yep, a piece of grass. He thought it was a flower and was so proud of himself for giving it to me. Usually he'll come in bringing a dead dandelion or something....I guess I should be happy he's not picking my real flowers at least:)

My little peanut

It's sad but true when people tell you that after your first child you don't take as many pictures or document as much stuff as you did with the first one! So I figured I would post a few things about my tiny girl so I don't make her feel left out:)
-she's now a little over 3 months old
-she is so little and skinny, a week ago at the doctor she barely weighed 10 lbs (Tate was already almost 14 lbs by then)
-she loves to be swaddled really tight when she sleeps, and she loves to have her face covered when she naps (don't worry, I'm not suffocating my child)
-when she smiles really big she scrunches her nose up like I did when I was a baby
-she talks and laughs all the time
-she is so happy and content just to play by herself under her little play mat
-she loves to play pat-a-cake
That's all I can think of right now, but she has been the best baby so far. Just so mellow and happy, I love her to pieces!!

Our no good, very bad day

Yesterday was just not Tate's day. While I was bathing Marley in the morning, he got into our ibuprofen. So I called poison control (for the 4th time in a year mind you--hopefully they don't keep track and think I never watch my child) and they said it was protocol to take him to the ER since it could be pretty bad. So I called Jord and off we went to the hospital. Thankfully he was acting ok so they didn't think they needed to pump his stomach or anything, so we just had to stay a few hours so they could watch him. He thought it was some party and was playing around the room. He was fine and we got to go home in the afternoon...
(sorry, bad cell phone picture)
He thought it was so funny to keep pulling the gown up over his head....silly boy

Then last night he jumped out of the bathtub and cut his foot open, it was bleeding all over the freaking bathroom. And he was screaming so bad we considered taking him to Instacare since he wouldn't let us even look at it. But we just tried wrapping it and put him to bed. Luckily it didn't end up needing stitches, just a really deep cut. So needless to say, he had a rough day.
