It's a....GIRL!!

And here's her first picture! I am now a little over 15 weeks, and way too impatient to wait for the normal 20 week ultrasound, so we decided to go find out and it's definitely a girl! Everything looked really good and she was quite the mover and kicker...I don't know if that's good or bad:) but we are super excited...
A few details about this pregnancy...I am due March 3, 2010. I've felt pretty crappy this time, about the same as with Tate. But a bag of jolly ranchers, 2 whole boxes of saltines, a 24 pack of sprite, and a bottle of zofran later, I think it's starting to get a little bit better. Just the thought of having to eat more saltines makes me want to vomit. But regardless of being sick, I'm just happy that we're going to have another girl in the house!

So long old friend....

So I almost never post on this thing. In fact, I can't remember the last time I did. That being said, I wanted to do a blog to an old buddy of mine that is no longer with us. So this is for you old pal.

We've been through some good times and the bad. I remember when you first came around, I wasn't sure what to think of you. I didn't understand your style, your way of life. But as we spent more and more time together I began to understand who you were and what you stood for. I remember the first Utah football game we went to together. It was cold and you tried to keep me warm. You were there for me when I was growing my beard, some people made fun of me but not you. You traveled with me to new orleans, who can forget our time down on Bourbon Street? At disneyland you went on every single ride with me. I knew sometimes you were a little scared and worried the rides could mess things up, but you did it anyway. I'll never forget our time in hawaii. Our snorkling expeditions, riding the waves together, or just hanging around in our hotel room. No matter what you always had my back, and I thank you for that. I know you are gone, but we will always have those times and no one can take them away from us. So here's to you my friend, my companion, MY SHAG! Gone but certainly not forgotten!!

Macy Paige Thomas

My sister Meg had her baby on Monday...isn't she so stinkin cute?! I just want to squeeze her. She was 7.2 pounds and 20 inches with chubby little cheeks and a ton of brown hair. That makes 10 grandkids now on the Wakefield side, it's just chaos when we are all together....

Hailey, Meg, Macy and Alexa...family of girls!

Dreaded Pictures

I really really hate getting family pictures done. I never know what to have everyone wear, how I should do my hair, how to get Tate to cooperate, or where to even get them done. BUT, I needed Tate's 2 year pictures and I really wanted one of all of us. So I called my old friend Jen from highschool who does them and she is awesome--she was amazing with Tate (who was acting less than amazing) and I just thought she did a great job. I highly recommend her....look here if you want to see her other work. PS--I don't know why they are showing up blurry on here, maybe I downloaded them wrong??I love this face, you can see he's planning something sneaky to doThis is what he wanted to do instead of pose...throw dirt and look for bugs

Tate turned 2!!

My baby turned 2 on Saturday, and I really can't believe he's that old. In some ways though, it seems like he's been around forever-I don't know what we did with our time before he came around! These are some things about my Tater that make him my sweet, funny, naughty little boy:
*he's a chatterbox, I can understand him but others probably can't
*he loves to sing-some of his favorite songs are "twinkle, twinkle little star", "abc's", "I'm so glad when daddy comes home", and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. He tries so hard to get all the words but he can't keep up very well
*he likes to dance to "Right Round" by Flo Rida--don't ask me why
*he laughs when I take him to time out...it's so irritating
*he goes to time out quite a bit
*he loves to watch Caillou, Mickey Mouse, and Max & Ruby
*he loves to kick balls all over the yard with dad
*his version of counting to ten is "one, two, six, seven, nine!!"
Tate was a spoiled boy, he got 2 parties--one with each side of the family. On Saturday we went swimming at Grandma Love's and had pizza and cake, then Sunday went to Grandma Wakefield's and had dinner and cupcakes and played in the sprinkers! These are the highlights from the parties:

This was our present to Tate-a race track...I think Jord likes is just as much as TateSwimming! It's a good thing he had a life vest on because the little stinker loved to run away from Jord and jump in before he could catch him

Blowing out the candles on his "Buzz Lightyear" cake

All the presents from the Love's

Opening presents and the Wakefield's

I didn't want to do another cake so we just did cupcakes shaped into a football

4th of July week.

I love any holidays with kids because it's just more fun, and it breaks up the every day monotony of....life! So last week was great, it was Riverton Days, (I refuse to spell it with the "zz" like they always do, it's lame) Alexa, Hailey, Jord and Tate on the Dragon Coaster-Tate loved it but got a bloody lip from smacking his face on the lap bar...
Jord won this monkey shooting hoops at the fair. Tate was so excited but now where am I going to put an oversized stuffed monkey??

Then we went to the ranch overnight on Friday. Tate was great during the day and had so much fun riding the 4-wheelers, playing with his cousins, and just being able to run free! But nights are awful with him anywhere but home. He is a very scheduled child and if he gets thrown off even a little bit, it's nightmarish. So needless to say, we came home early on Saturday to take very long naps!We tried going to the rodeo in Mount Pleasant and Tate was good for about the first 45 minutes and then was finished....so we didn't get to stay for very long.
Then Saturday night we decided to just stay home and chill and do our own little fireworks in our circle. I forget sometimes how easily entertained kids are--Tate could've cared less about any big and loud fireworks around. He was just as enthralled with the little tanks and spinners.
